But something is effective about sarcasm. It catches you off-guard and wakes you up in a way that a flat out lecture doesn't.
I've heard and read plenty of parenting advice, and I try to pay attention. But these links caught my attention because of how they present themselves, right from the titles. I think you'll enjoy them, too:
- 5 Ways to Raise Ungrateful Children. For all that we teaching our children, are we forgetting to teach them to have thankful hearts?
- Give Them What They Want. From a great series by Sam Luce, where he drew parenting principles from the Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (or, for the purists, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory).
- 5 Ways to Make Your Kids Hate Church. If you are only going to read one of these articles, make sure it's this one.
- 5 Dads I Want to Punch in the Face. I hope Chris Spradlin really wouldn't punch these dads in the face, but you will enjoy this post and many others on his site, EpicParent.tv.
