Howeve...Thanks for your comment and encouragements. However, I think you are making some big assumptions, and you missed somethings that I already spoke about (on this post & others).

First -- I did not grow up believing these "stories" through my childhood. I was a skeptic through and through, and I still approach topics like this with heavy skepticism. That pushes me to study & pursue truth (as you encouraged).

Also, I'm not sure how taking "some college courses" is a solution. I have a B.S. & M.S. in chemistry, and I assure you that I have taken plenty of challenging courses in science.

Like you say, I do examine evidences with an open mind. In truth, that is what led me to becoming a 6-day creationist!Joey Espinosahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05962252428291430709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7005096405985757065.post-51305488979062954522014-04-08T12:12:59.119-04:002014-04-08T12:12:59.119-04:00You seem like a nice person and very sincere. I wo...You seem like a nice person and very sincere. I would hope that you would open your eyes to the majesty and wonder of God's creation. This can be done through study and research.

We are in the golden age of knowledge. I understand full well that there is a lot to grasp and the journey of study is not easy. Your faith in what you were told and may sincerely believe may be tested but in the long run it will be well worth it.

It is very easy to fall back on the comfortable mythologies and stories of your childhood. They are very comforting and give you a level of certainty that the open ended life of scholarship does not.

I would ask that you take some college courses, examine the evidence presented with an open mind and an open heart. In the end you will be rewarded with a deeper understanding and appreciation of the world around you.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01436561045358006201noreply@blogger.com
